How much will your services cost me?
The real question should be, how much will it cost you not to invest in a professional website? We understand that everyone is at a different season in their business, which is why we offer 3 package options.
You can view our investment guides here:
Squarespace Investment Guide (primarily best for service businesses).
Shopify Investment Guide (eCommerce businesses)
What are my responsibilities?
Your dream website is only possible if we’re both equally committed to this project.
Specifically, you will:
provide all content no later than one week before your project start date,
make yourself available to me during our project period to answer my questions, provide timely feedback, and
make all project payments on time.
How long will it take you to build my website?
As I only work with one web design client at any given time, I am able to dedicate myself 100% to your project. When you book a custom website design, you are booking me for a set timeframe. Smaller projects take 2 weeks, larger projects may take up to 4 weeks.
Do you use custom code to build my website?
I use custom coding to enhance the styling and functionality of your site. My philosophy is to balance smart design with simplicity.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
Can you assist with branding, copywriting or photography services?
Yes ! These are very specialised fields. We have a few select professionals that we work closely with. Depending on your style, needs and budget, we will work with the right person for your project. Rest assured, you are in safe hands.
We especially love collaborating with these legends:

Caroline from CA Creative (products, people, places, events)
Kairi from Lemon and Rye (food photography and food styling)
Copywriting

Are you an SEO expert?
There are 3 SEO professionals, each one being one piece of the puzzle:
An SEO expert: To research your industry and brand to provide recommendations on keywords and advise how to improve your SEO ranking.
An SEO copywriter: To write the copy (text) for your website incorporating SEO keywords in your brand’s voice using natural language.
An SEO focused web designer (me): To build your website with SEO best practice strategically utilising keywords provided by you in all the right “SEO places” built into Squarespace or Shopify. I also optimise your images, use streamlined, clean code, correct heading hierarchy, ensure the website is mobile responsive, build for accessibility, minimise pop-ups, include internal site links, and thoughtfully use site animation. All of this important SEO stuff happens behind the scenes.

Are there any ongoing or hidden website costs?
Web hosting, domain registration, and subscription fees are not included.
Squarespace and Shopify provide excellent customer support and automatically update your site with security and maintenance patches.
I will provide you with a custom training video showing you and your team how to update your site with confidence and ease. For this reason, I don’t charge any retainer fees.
A SSL certificate is included with all Shopify and Squarespace plans. This is essential to protect your site (and visitors) from hackers and other web crawling nasties. I'll ensure your SSL certificate is installed and active before you launch.
